🍊 Juice: Books send losing bettors flowers. Winning bettors get a smaller max bet. I would like to speak to the manager.
🤖 Vig: We're 19–8, +8.76u. Still waiting on our flowers.
GM. This is Everyday Juice, the sports betting newsletter that just learned the reward for winning is a smaller bet slip.

🧾 The Refill: We needed a second-half shootout in Milwaukee and got a stroll. We took the L.
🍊 The Squeeze Play: Two 3–4 teams, a calm night, and a total we think is too high.
🥤 The Fresh Pour: The NBA swiped right on prediction markets. Plus the Brewers and the Valkyries are each one win from a title.
🌱 On the Vine: Two leans we liked, just not enough to squeeze.
⚡ Quick Sips: A catch that scared every Under, a rookie who never stops shooting, and Steph forgetting how to miss.
🤯 Pulp Fiction: The reward for winning too much? A smaller bet slip.
😂 Juicy Meme: Juice tried to watch one game. Late October had other plans.
🤖 Beat the Vig: One of today's leans is a +1.5 in hockey. What's that bet called? Answer in The Last Drop.

Refill: ❌ · Pacers at Bucks Over 239.5 (−105), BetRivers, 1 🍊 · −1.00u
The Pacers and Bucks went into halftime at 111, already a few points behind the pace we needed. Then the fourth quarter gave us 43 combined, and it finished at 212. We paid for a shootout and watched both teams discover defense.
The record since Sept 26: 19–8 · +8.76u

🍊 Squeeze Play: Delaware at Western Kentucky, Under 58.5
Nobody scores on Tuesday. That's the plan, anyway.
| Game | Delaware at Western Kentucky |
| Sport/Type | NCAAF / Total |
| Book | Hard Rock |
| Odds | −125 |
| Play | Under 58.5 · 1 🍊 |
Why: Both teams are 3–4, so nobody here is running anybody out of the building. Western Kentucky's last three games all went Under, and the last one finished with 19 total points. The forecast is calm, so we can't count on the weather to help.
Pulp: Delaware's last two games went Over, and one defensive touchdown can turn a quiet night loud fast.
Walk-away: Walk away if it's worse than −130 at 58.5, or the total drops to 56.5 or lower.
Price as of Tuesday morning at Hard Rock. Lines move; check yours. Hard Rock is a sportsbook; available where legal. 1 🍊 = 1% of your bankroll.

The NBA swiped right on prediction markets
What happened: The NBA on Monday named Kalshi and Polymarket its preferred prediction market exchanges. The deals limit which kinds of NBA contracts can be listed, and they require the exchanges to share information on suspicious trades. The league also signed a memorandum of understanding with the CFTC, the federal agency that says these markets fall under its watch.
Why it matters: The NBA joins the NHL and MLB in working directly with prediction markets, which leaves the NFL as the big holdout. States argue these contracts are sports betting that they should regulate, and courts have split on who is right.
The takeaway: The leagues have picked partners, the courts haven't picked a side, and this fight is nowhere near over.
Also pouring: The Brewers beat the Rays 10–1 in Game 3 of the World Series on Monday, scoring eight runs in the fifth, and lead the Series 3–0. One more win gives Milwaukee its first title. In the WNBA Finals, the Valkyries beat the Dream in Game 5 to take a 3–2 lead, and Game 6 is Thursday in Atlanta.

Today's leans: Not ripe enough to squeeze. Yet. We liked them, just not enough.
Boston's price is right where it should be.
| Game | Bruins at Hurricanes |
| Sport/Type | NHL / Spread |
| Book | FanDuel |
| Odds | −144 |
| Lean | Bruins +1.5 |
Why: Boston is 9–2–1. Carolina is missing Jankowski, Nikishin and Staal. FanDuel at −144 is the only price at about fair, which in this business counts as generosity.
Pulp: A fair price isn't a discount, which is exactly why this one is still on the vine.
The scoreboard gets a night off.
| Game | Nets at Celtics |
| Sport/Type | NBA / Total |
| Book | DraftKings |
| Odds | −112 |
| Lean | Under 222.5 |
Why: The total opened at 219.5 and has since moved up. About 89% of tickets are on the Over. The Celtics are without Devin Carter and the Nets are without Tyler Bilodeau.
Pulp: Most of the tickets are on the Over for a reason, and one hot shooting night blows a 222.5.
Odds as of 6:22 AM ET. Leans are not official plays and are not part of the Squeeze record.

The catch that froze every Under. Rays outfielder Chandler Simpson climbed the wall for this one in World Series Game 3, with the game still scoreless. Every Under ticket in America gasped at once. (via @MLB)
A rookie with no brakes. Kings rookie Darius Acuff Jr. is putting up 24.3 shots a night to start his career, which is less a green light and more a lifestyle. Props bettors, take note of the volume. (via @BleacherReport)
Steph forgot how to miss. Steph Curry went 8-for-8 from the field in a Warriors road win, and the NBA says a scoring night like that with zero misses is a career first for him. Points Unders everywhere would like a word. (via @NBA)

"If I win, the book will just pay me." CBS News reports that books "limit" bettors who win too much. Big winners often get their bets capped under $20. Some get capped under 50 cents.
Our take: Books love you right up until you're good at this.
FICTION: Sportsbooks will pay a winner forever.
THE JUICE: Books manage risk on you personally, so shop lines and never treat a limit as a trophy.

🤖 Vig's answer: The puck line. It's hockey's version of the spread, almost always set at 1.5 goals. Bruins +1.5 cashes if Boston wins outright or loses by a single goal.
