GM. This is Everyday Juice, the sports betting newsletter that knows by Sunday morning, the injury report has already placed its bets.

🍊 The Squeeze Play: The Bucs lost their QB and the total lost seven points. We're taking the over on a discount.
🥤 The Fresh Pour: Philly went from a 6.5-point favorite to a 3-point dog. That's what a QB costs.
🤔 Off the Menu: The Hurricanes are on a road back-to-back in Calgary, and we like the plus price.
⚡ Quick Sips: Florida State covers through chaos, five top teams fall in one Saturday, and the ALCS is a best-of-three.
🍊 Orange Slices: Sharp or Shit? Where the big money and the line agree, and where they don't.
🤖 Beat the Vig: Tampa Bay is −134 for ALCS Game 5. What win chance does −134 imply? Answer in The Last Drop.

🍊 Refill: ❌ · Arizona State +19.5 (−160), Hard Rock Bet, 1 orange · −1.00u
We paid −160 for 19.5 points and Texas Tech spent every one of them by halftime: a pick-six on the first score, two long J'Koby Williams touchdown runs and a 43–10 lead at the break, on a turnover angle where the only team giving it away turned out to be ours.

🍊 Squeeze Play: Over 37.5
Game: Steelers at Buccaneers
Sport/Type: NFL / Alt Total
Book: FanDuel
Odds: −118
Play: Over 37.5 · 1 🍊
The Bucs lost their quarterback and the total lost seven points. We think the market overdid it.
Why: This total has fallen from 45.5 at open to 38.5 since Baker Mayfield was ruled out with a thumb injury and Jalon Daniels was named the starter, and our 37.5 sits a full point under that. Pittsburgh's last three games all cleared 50 points. Tampa Bay's secondary is thin, with S Antoine Winfield Jr. out (ribs) and CB Benjamin Morrison doubtful (quad).
🧃 Pulp: Winds around 15 mph, gusting into the mid-20s, could make this a run-heavy afternoon that stalls in the 30s.
Walk-away: Don't play it worse than −120.

Hurts, Lamar and Baker are out. The lines got there first.
Three starting quarterbacks are out today, and the spreads already did the grieving. All moves below are since open, and those opens were lookahead lines from earlier in the week.
Panthers at Eagles: Philadelphia −6.5 → Carolina −3, a 9.5-point swing. Jalen Hurts went on IR Saturday with a calf injury, and Tanner McKee is lined up to start. Saquon Barkley is also out (hamstring). Total: 43.5 → 39.
Steelers at Buccaneers: Tampa Bay −1.5 → Pittsburgh −2.5. Baker Mayfield is out with a thumb injury, and Jalon Daniels starts. Total: 45.5 → 38.5.
Ravens at Browns: Baltimore −6.5 → −3. Lamar Jackson is out with an ankle injury, and Tyler Huntley starts. Total: 44.5 → 39.5. And 96% of the moneyline money is still on Baltimore.
Chargers at Chiefs: Kansas City −2.5 → −7.5, total 46.5 → 41.5. We couldn't find a sourced reason for this one, so we're not inventing one.
Why it matters: That's the market putting a price on a quarterback: 4 points for Mayfield, 3.5 for Lamar, and 9.5 in Philly, though Barkley being out too means not all of that is Hurts (our read, not a formula). By Sunday morning, the injury is already in the number, so the question isn't "who's hurt?" It's "did the market overreact or underreact?" If you like Carolina −3 at −112, you need to be right 52.8% of the time just to break even.
The takeaway: You don't get paid for knowing Hurts is out. Everybody knows Hurts is out. You only get paid if 9.5 points is the wrong price for it.
Lines: Action Network consensus, 6:57 AM ET; Carolina −3 (−112) at DraftKings, 7:05 AM ET. Injury news: team sites and ESPN; Hurts via Adam Schefter.

The almost-Squeeze Plays. We liked them, just not enough. Here's which way we lean, no official play attached.
Game: Hurricanes at Flames
Sport/Type: NHL / Moneyline
Book: BetRivers
Odds: +185
Lean: Flames ML
Why: Carolina won 3–2 in Winnipeg last night, so this is a road back-to-back, the spot Brian's model fades, and Calgary didn't play Saturday. Pyotr Kochetkov played last night and ESPN lists Brandon Bussi expected in Carolina's net against Dustin Wolf, while Calgary hasn't played since a 6–2 loss in Vegas on Thursday. Ninety-four percent of the money is on Carolina, and +185 only needs Calgary to win 35.1% of the time (100/285).
🧃 Pulp: Calgary is 1–6–0 and 0–3 at home, so this is a price lean on a bad team, and both goalies are only "expected."
Odds as of 6:57 AM ET. Not official plays. Graded every Monday.

Covered with a flag to spare: Florida State hit a 36-yard touchdown heave in double overtime, watched a holding flag wipe it out, then got picked at the goal line on the next snap. Miami escapes 43–35 and stays unbeaten, but anyone holding Florida State +20.5 was cashing no matter how the chaos ended. (via @BleacherReport)
Dog day afternoon: Georgia, Notre Dame, Indiana, Alabama and Texas all lost on the same Saturday, which @espn calls a first in the AP Poll era. If you rode the dogs, Juice salutes you. If you laid the chalk, Sunday is a fresh pour. (via @espn)
Best-of-three, starting today: Junior Caminero's double down the line flipped the night, and the Rays piled on from there to win 7–3 and even the ALCS. It's a best-of-three now, and Tampa Bay has gone from −115 at open to −134 at FanDuel for Game 5 (6:57 AM ET). (via @MLB)

📊 Peel Back the Numbers
Sharp-ish: Dallas ML. 42% of tickets but 84% of the money, and Green Bay went from −170 at open to −115. Money and line agree, but the move is done: Dallas is +101 at Caesars.
Sharp-ish: Texans/Jaguars Over. 47% of tickets, 80% of the money, and the total went 40.5 → 42. Same story, mostly baked.
Shit (no read): Bears ML. 71% of the money is on Chicago, yet Chicago slid from −155 to −117. When the money and the line disagree, we don't pretend to know who's right.
Splits and lines: Action Network, 6:57 AM ET. The labels are our read, not inside info.

🤖 Vig's answer: About 57.3%. For minus odds, divide the odds by (odds + 100): 134 ÷ 234 = 57.3%.
At the −115 open, Tampa Bay implied about 53.5% (115 ÷ 215). Same team, same series, nearly four points of win probability more expensive. You can't bet the opener, only the price in front of you.
