The books have already cut the total five points, from 46.5 to 41.5, because of it. To bet it now we'd need a number that says the market is still wrong, and we don't have one. No edge, no play.

Underdogs Ate Sunday
Sunday belonged to the points. Washington took +8.5 into Seattle and didn't need a single one of them, winning 33-31 outright. Arizona lost 36-30 and still cashed +7.5 tickets, which is the most dog thing a team can do. Meanwhile, anyone laying big numbers spent the afternoon paying the cover charge for somebody else's party.
They had company. Pittsburgh (+3.5), Cleveland (+2.5), Indianapolis (+1.5), Dallas (+3.5) and Las Vegas (+4) all covered at the closing number (Action Network). That's seven dogs getting paid in one afternoon. The pound was empty by dinner.
Betting implications: a hot Sunday for dogs doesn't make every Monday dog a bet. Streaks are fun to tell and terrible to bet, and last week's dogs don't suit up tonight. Each number still has to earn it on its own. That's why tonight's Bears +3.5 sits on Watching, not on the card.
