🎯 The Squeeze Play: Our first hockey orange. The public loves the Over. The number doesn't.
🫗 The Main Pour: Bills-Rams on MNF, and why the line already left without us.
🍊 Orange Slices: The Angels were one strike from the World Series. Then they weren't.

Yesterday: Broncos −3.5 (−107) · Caesars · 1 🍊 · ✅ WIN · +0.93u
We laid the healthier roster at the best number on the board. It didn't look like it after three quarters. Denver trailed 17–10. Nix hit Sutton to tie it, and Lutz kicked Denver ahead with 5:07 left. That made it 20–17, the one score we said would beat us. Then Lutz hit from 36 with 1:08 to go. The hook never got a vote. Broncos won by 6.

🍊 Panthers @ Sabres: UNDER 6.5
The public piled onto the Over. The number ran the other way. That’s usually when we lean in.
Opened 6.5 even. Now DraftKings, FanDuel, and Fanatics have the Under at −135 to −138, and three books already slid down to 6 — where a six-goal game is just a push. Eighty-two percent of tickets and eighty-five percent of the money are still on the Over. We’re taking the stale number: Under 6.5 (−125) at BetRivers. Hard Rock’s −130 if BetRivers is gone.
Why the number
The market moved toward the Under while the public stayed on the Over. That’s a reverse move, not a vibe.
Why we’re in
Florida’s missing Barkov (IR) and Marchand (out). Buffalo’s scored one goal in its last two (0–4 DAL, 1–4 UTA) and eleven in five games. Florida’s last five totals: 1, 7, 5, 3, 5. Needs about 55.6% at −125. Roughly fair; clearly better than −135 elsewhere.
🧃 The Pulp
Buffalo’s net isn’t locked. Lyon’s on IR; Ellis vs Luukkonen isn’t confirmed, and they play Montreal on Tuesday, so the backup could start. One soft goal, or an empty-netter that turns 4–2 into 5–2 the wrong way, and we’re roasting ourselves by lunch.
🍊 Squeeze Play: Panthers/Sabres Under 6.5 (−125), BetRivers, 1 orange
Lines move. If yours is worse than −130, we’re out, and you should be too.

The Line Left Without Us
One NFL game tonight: Bills (3-1) at Rams (2-2), 8:15 PM ET, SoFi. It opened Rams −2.5 to −3. It's now −3.5 at every legal book, and the moneyline went from −134 to −176.
The move came on news. Ed Oliver is out for Buffalo. Aaron Donald, Jaylen Watson and Colby Parkinson are good to go for LA. Joshua Palmer is out and DJ Moore is questionable (shoulder).
Here's the funny part: 80% of tickets are on Buffalo +3.5, and the line still walked toward the Rams. That usually means the bigger bets are on LA.
So why isn't it our Squeeze? Because the number already moved. The news is worth maybe half a point. The line moved a full one. Getting back to −3 costs about −120, and neither −3 nor −3.5 beats the market. Buffalo also leads the league at 31.8 points a game, and that's a lot of offense to lay points against in a dome with a 54.5 total.
We're watching, not betting. Sometimes the best ticket is the one you never bought.

Vintage Juice: Oct. 12, 1986, Anaheim
ALCS Game 5. The Angels led the series 3–1 and the game 5–2 going to the ninth. Don Baylor's two-run homer made it 5–4. Then, with two outs and two strikes, Dave Henderson took Donnie Moore deep for a 6–5 Boston lead (SABR). The Angels tied it in the bottom half, and Henderson's sacrifice fly won it 7–6 in 11. Boston won the next two at Fenway and took the pennant (Baseball-Reference).
One strike from the World Series is still one strike short. The score that beats you only counts when the game's over.

🤖 Vig's answer: Closing line value: getting a better number than the final line. Beating the close over time is a sign you're betting well. A hot streak is a sample. CLV is the longer one.

P.S. (Brian here, the human responsible for Juice and Vig.) The free Squeeze is 10–3 since Sept. 26, and every result is public. That’s one play a day.
