GM. This is Everyday Juice. We asked the market for a free point on Atlanta. The Hawks won by seven and left it on the table like a tip.

๐ The Squeeze Play: Penguins ML. Florida is on its second night in a row; Pittsburgh is out of patience.
๐ฅค The Fresh Pour: Brooklyn flipped six points on an injury report, the public loved Washington, and Vig has notes.
๐ค Off the Menu: Last issue's leans get graded (one hit, one got checked into the boards), plus three new ones: Kings, Thunder โ7.5 and a contrarian Blues. Leans only, no oranges attached.
โก Quick Sips: LaMelo takes the scenic route to three, Ant crashes the Wilt-and-MJ club, and Walker Kessler forgets how to miss.
๐ The Sour Squeeze: Zubac goes 0-for-2 at the line, and the spread finds a way to hurt everybody.
๐ค Beat the Vig: Today's Squeeze is priced at โ114. What win rate do you need to break even at that price? Answer in The Last Drop.

๐ Refill: โ ยท Hawks +3.5 (โ115), BetMGM, 1 ๐ ยท +0.87u
We begged for the extra point, then Atlanta won 132โ125 outright in Orlando, so the hook mostly sat there looking pretty.

๐ Squeeze Play: Penguins ML
Fade the legs, back the desperation.
Game: Panthers at Penguins
Sport/Type: NHL / Moneyline
Book: BetRivers
Odds: โ114
Play: Penguins ML ยท 1 ๐
Why: Florida is on the second night of a road back-to-back after losing 5โ1 at Ottawa, which is not the warm-up anyone draws up. The Panthers opened as a โ132 favorite, and the market has since walked them back to roughly even. Pittsburgh has lost four straight, so it's a desperate home team against a tired road team, and we'll take desperate.
๐ง Pulp: Pittsburgh has lost four straight for a reason, and the best of this price is already gone.
Walk-away: Pass if it's worse than โ130.
Price as of 10:25 PM ET at BetRivers. Lines move; check yours. BetRivers is a sportsbook; available where legal. 1 ๐ = 1% of your bankroll.

The injury report moved it. Not the sharps.
What the books were saying: Brooklyn went from a 4.5-point underdog to a 1.5-point favorite, and the total fell from 223.5 to 219.5, after Charlotte ruled out Kon Knueppel, Coby White, Grant Williams and Kylan Boswell on Tuesday afternoon. Charlotte won anyway. Nobody tell the spreadsheet.
Sharp or Shit? Brooklyn and Milwaukee were news, not sharps: both moves lined up with Tuesday's injury reports. The one sharp-ish move was the Lakers going from โ5.5 to โ6.5 against 71% of spread money on Golden State. Clippers โ196 and Sabres โ182 were the "move is done" pile. Buffalo then lost 3โ1, so, yeah.
Fade the Public: PASS. 95% of moneyline money was on Washington while Milwaukee shortened from +180 to +145. The public got this one: Wizards by 12. We passed, and we're not rewriting history to look smart.
Betting IQ: Check the injury report before you call a move "sharp." Brooklyn's 6-point swing came the same afternoon Charlotte ruled out four players. At โ110 you need 52.4% to break even (our math: 110 รท 210), and the news is already baked into the new number. The edge was betting before the report, not after.
Thursday's board: The Islanders went from โ132 to โ118 even with 71% of tickets and 85โ88% of the money on New York, and there's no injury news to explain it (Kings +100 at DK). Vegas slid from โ156 to about โ123 with 76% of tickets and 99% of the money on the Knights (Blues +106 at FD/BetRivers). OKC moved from โ7.5 to โ8.5 at most books with 75% of spread tickets on Denver; DK is still โ7.5 (โ115).
Our read: When nearly all the money is on one side and the price walks the other way, pay attention. Tonight that's LA and St. Louis.
The takeaway: A line that moves on news isn't a secret. It's a press release with juice on it.

Last issue's leans, graded (ESPN):
โ Sabres ML (โ182): Flyers 3, Sabres 1. We paid full price for Buffalo and got the clearance-rack version.
โ Hornets at Nets Under 219.5: Hornets 110, Nets 103, 213 total. Under, comfortably. The injury report did most of the heavy lifting; we just carried the receipt.
New leans:
Everyone's drinking the Isles. The bartender keeps watering it down.
Game: Kings at Islanders
Sport/Type: NHL / Moneyline
Book: DraftKings
Odds: +100
Lean: Kings ML
Why: The Isles opened โ132 and got cut to โ118 even though 71% of tickets and up to 88% of the money are on New York. There's no injury news, so the books appear to be leaning LA. At even money, the Kings are the side the market seems to like, which is a sentence the group chat will not enjoy.
๐ง Pulp: There's no injury news to explain the move, so we could just be reading noise.
DraftKings is a full point behind the class.
Game: Nuggets at Thunder
Sport/Type: NBA / Spread
Book: DraftKings
Odds: โ115
Lean: Thunder โ7.5
Why: Most books moved OKC from โ7.5 to โ8.5 even though 75% of spread tickets are on Denver. DK is still sitting at โ7.5, a full point under the market. If the move holds, you got the better number while everyone else paid the markup.
๐ง Pulp: DK might be slow for a reason, and โ7.5 still means OKC has to win by eight.
99% of the money, zero cooperation from the price.
Game: Golden Knights at Blues
Sport/Type: NHL / Moneyline
Book: FanDuel
Odds: +106
Lean: Blues ML
Why: Vegas opened โ156 and is down to about โ123 with 99% of the money on the Knights. A drop that big against nearly all the money usually means the books see something on the other side. Contrarian read, lowest confidence of the three, so treat it like gas-station sushi: interesting, not trusted.
๐ง Pulp: We're siding against 99% of the money on a hunch about who's moving the line.
Odds as of 10:31 PM ET. Not official plays. Graded every Monday.

LaMelo Takes the Scenic Route
LaMelo picked up his dribble, added a few bonus steps and buried a three in his Wolves debut. No whistle, 413K views and counting, and the travel debate is now its own sport. (via @TheHoopCentral)
Wilt, MJ and Ant Walk Into a Bar
Anthony Edwards dropped 45 and 10, joining Wilt Chamberlain and Michael Jordan as the only players with multiple 40-point season openers. Not a bad group chat. (via @UnderdogNBA)
12-for-12, Mostly From Arm's Length
Walker Kessler went 12-for-12 in his Lakers debut, with 10 dunks, the most by a Laker since Shaq in 2003. Perfect shooting is a lot easier when the rim is basically a cup holder. (via @NBA)

Two Free Throws, Two Dead Tickets
Zubac went 0-for-2 at the line with 1.4 seconds left, which was bad news for exactly one group of people: bettors. Pacers 123, Pelicans 120, so Pacers โ3.5 lost by half a point and Pelicans +2.5 got hooked by Jackson's free throws. Both sides of the number, one three-point game, and the book didn't even have to break a sweat.

๐ค Vig's answer: About 53.3%. For minus odds, divide the odds by the odds plus 100 (our math: 114 รท 214).
So at โ114 you need to win a bit more than half the time just to stand still. Vig would like you to know he set it up that way on purpose.
